The building is centred around the Barrington Theatre, a 250 seat facility offering professional and amateur shows and plays and is suitable for dancing with its maple sprung floor. The Barrington Theatre can be hired for public or private functions. In addition, there are five other rooms (two with maple floors ideal for dancing) which are available for hire on morning, afternoon or evening sessions. These are used, amongst other things, for meetings, dance practice, rehearsal rooms, exercise classes and Adult Education. The Barrington Centre is easily accessible from Bournemouth, Poole and other areas of Dorset, with a large public car park at the rear. As a single storey building, it offers ease of access to all.
Barrington Theatre
The Theatre has a large proscenium arch stage, and considerable investments have been made in lighting and sound facilities which are enjoyed by professional and amateur companies. Audiences are offered year round varied entertainment from concerts, classic plays and rock bands, to large scale musicals at affordable ticket prices.
Meeting and Conference Rooms
Surrounding the central auditorium of the theatre, there is a selection of function rooms to suit most occasions. These can seat from 10 to 80, according to the function, and all are available for hire. We can provide catering if required, from tea and coffee to full meals, or you can make your own drinks in our servery.
